About Me
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Wrocław, hosted by Paweł Gawrychowski. Before that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at University of Palermo, hosted by Gabriele Fici. I finished my PhD in CWI, Amsterdam, under the supervision of Solon P. Pissis and Leen Stougie.
Research
I work in the field of string algorithms and combinatorics on words. My interests span both the theoretical foundations and algorithmic applications of string processing, particularly in contexts such as bioinformatics.
A central line of my research focuses on elastic data structures — compact representations of sets of similar strings. These structures are particularly relevant in the context of pangenomics, where multiple genomes must be analyzed jointly.
I am also interested in the Burrows–Wheeler Transform (BWT), especially its structural properties and connections to de Bruijn words, and abstract algebra.
In addition, I am involved in projects concerning consensus problems, studied from the perspective of parameterized complexity.
